There are many game reserves like Ibedake or piedmont of Yonahadake.There, several kinds of national natural treasures of birds like “Yanbarukuina” and “Noguchigera”, which you will never see in other places, are leading their life behind the deep green of trees and Big fern fronds. Professional guides with deep knowledge of the forest will help you to feel the Miracle and the Mystery of Yanbaru. -

Spend your time at a quiet beach

After a few minutes drive away from the hotel, you will reach a beautiful small beach with calm and relaxing atmosphere, where you can spend your free time finding seashells or having leisurely lunch. You may see the footmarks of marine turtles coming to the beach for egg laying in May, breath-taking view of sunrise and fantastic scenery of moonlight making a photic path in the darkness of the sea.

You will meet a brilliant sky with stars in heaven in Yanbaru.
Especially on fine days, Milky way could clearly be seen
even on the backyard of the hotel and you will understand
why it is called so.

“Ada”, the nearest village from the hotel is the place that traditional culture of Okinawa has come down carefully since old days and still alive. Here, “Shiisa”, lion-shaped roof ornament of Okinawa, is sitting in front of the entrance and keep protecting the old house , only general shop in the village, called “Kyoudou Baiten 共同売店” is operated under combined effort of all the villagers, and fishermen, called “Uminchu 海人” in Okinawa, go to the sea in very early morning , work at the local port and enjoy talking and laughing with their favorite Awamori, a kind of shochu liqueur after work. Feeling those atmosphiere will surely make your trip more impressive.

Yanbaru is suitable place for birds watching as it is famous
for Special National treasures living here. You can meet
them only here in Yanbaru. Some of them, “Yanbarukuina”,
a flightless bird, sometimes visit even in our farm and you
may see them walking with little ones, and “Noguchigera”
is less cautious and if you are lucky, you will see their
young birds be ready for leave the nest. -

We are always trying to protect them and asking all the people visiting Yanbaru not to frighten and surprise them so that they could live here for ever.

Bountiful nature here will lead you to make many discoveries about Yanbaru.If you drive to the nearest village of Ada,
for example, you will see a treasurable forest preserve of
Sapota and mangroves growing in Ada River, and even on
the way to the drive, many symbolic flowers of Okinawa are
waiting for you.
